This policy explains what Columbia Septic Finder ("we") collects when you use this website, and what we do with it.

Who We Are

Columbia Septic Finder is a paid referral and advertising service. We are not a septic contractor and we don't perform any septic or other services. We pass requests from people looking for septic service to independent local septic professionals, who pay us to receive leads.

Privacy questions and requests: [email protected]

What We Collect

  • Request form: your name, phone number, address or town, and the details of your request, such as the service you selected.
  • Calls (when our phone line opens): your phone number, the date, time and length of the call, and a recording of the call. You'll hear a notice at the start of each call that it's being recorded.
  • Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited, along with spam-protection signals.

How We Use It

  • To pass your request to independent local septic professionals who serve your area, so they can contact you about it
  • To keep records of which requests were passed on, for billing between us and the contractor
  • To resolve disputes about lead billing and to prevent spam or fraud
  • To keep the website working

Who We Share It With

  • Independent local septic professionals. We share your request with independent local septic professionals who serve your area, only so they can respond to that request.
  • Service providers that host this website and run our forms and record-keeping for us.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it.

We Don't Sell Your Personal Information

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Retention

Lead records and call data, including call recordings, are kept for 90 days. If a dispute about a lead is raised in that time, the related records are kept until 30 days after the dispute is resolved, and then deleted.

Your Choices: Opting Out and Deletion

  • Deletion or access: email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted. We'll delete our records unless we need to keep something for a legal reason or an open dispute, and we'll tell you if that's the case.
  • Opting out: email [email protected] if you don't want us to pass along any future request from you, or if you want us to stop using your information.
  • The contractor: once your request is passed on, the contractor keeps its own records under its own policies. On request, we'll tell you which contractor received your request so you can contact them directly.

Children

This site isn't directed to children under 13.
